Improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions in federal prisons
Food for inmates is cooked with wood on the open fire resulting in great financial burden on administrators. The project improves energy efficiency and reduces pollutant emissions. ERG evaluated energy requirements; made energy efficiency recommendations; designed and supervised production of improved wood stoves; and provided user training for the project.
