Assessment of risks for the hydropower dominated power system in Ethiopia

Evaluating climate and environmental risks to hydropower

ERG evaluated the risks for the power sector due to climate variability, geo-hazards, and local resource degradation. It also outlined potential environmental and social impacts of accelerated development of hydropower. The study introduced an appropriate power system assessment model called the Integrated Resource Planning model.
