Improving cooking efficiency for detention facility populations
ERG helped the ICRC install 84 community size improved cook stoves serving more than 5,000 detainees in eight regional detention centers in Ethiopia. ERG conducted cooking energy needs assessment, improved the design of the existing Rocket Stove, helped stove producers manufacture the improved stoves, and installed the stoves and trained cooks on their operation.
